Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical RN to deliver high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy hospital setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical proficiency, adaptability, and a commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical Surgical unit.
• Utilize electronic health record systems, including Epic, to document patient data accurately.
• Follow protocols for wound vac management, diabetes care, and post-operative monitoring.
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform patient assessments per physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Adhere to safety standards, including compliance with CBLS and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license for Georgia or a valid Compact state license at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Medical Surgical experience; new grads accepted.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience working with adult to geriatric patient populations.
• Strong clinical skills in wound care, diabetes management, and med/surg protocols.
• Ability to float within scope of practice and adapt to changing patient needs.
