Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide compassionate patient care for adults to geriatrics. The role involves managing a diverse adult patient population with various diagnoses in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions, responding appropriately to changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and blood products while following safety protocols.
• Manage wound care, including wound vac and isolation precautions.
• Start IVs, care for feeding tubes, and operate chest tubes and PICC lines.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic and other unit systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in GA or a Compact state at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in Med Surg.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of wound management, IV insertion, and patient safety protocols.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and be flexible with floating within the facility.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
