Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through clinical expertise and compassionate support. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and safety standards.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system, including Epic.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in Georgia or a valid Compact state license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and teamwork abilities.
