Assignment Details
- Unit size: 16 rooms
- Ratio: 1:4–1:5
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience - GA license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Experience in cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Familiarity with pre/post cardiac cath and post-MI care
- Management of oxygen therapies, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and ABG interpretation
- Skills in central line/PICC and peripheral IV care, phlebotomy
- Competence in tracheostomy care, chest tubes, and wound care (including Wound VAC) - Ability to manage cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration): milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, diltiazem (Cardizem), lidocaine, bumetanide (Bumex), heparin
Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients in a telemetry and step-down unit.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient care effectively.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatments.
- Document all patient interactions and care in the electronic medical record.
- Respond to emergencies and provide rapid interventions as needed.

- Orientation: 36 hours (NBO hours determined by contract length) - RTO (Requested Time Off):
Maximum 7 days per contract - RTO blackout:
Spring Break April 4–12 - Holiday expectation:
Work requirements vary based on number of major holidays during assignment
- All compliance documents due by Tuesday prior to start
- Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed; COVID-19 vaccine not required
