Registered Nurse Telemetry

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry unit, managing a range of cardiac and vascular conditions. Deliver quality patient care with adherence to clinical standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs to promptly identify changes.
• Administer medications and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Document clinical observations, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on condition management, procedures, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or acute care setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage adult and geriatric patient populations with complex diagnoses.
• proficiency with Epic electronic system, Pyxis medication system, and SBAR communication.
