Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Typical schedule:
8-week scheduling period. Requires working 2–3 weekends per 8-week schedule (either in-house or on-call) and 7–8 call shifts per 8-week schedule, including 1 weekend call. Call shift times are from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Contract length is 8 weeks with an average daily census of 35 in the operating room comprising 16 rooms.
Minimum of 1 year of operating room experience.
Current RN license in Georgia or a Compact license required at the time of submission.
BLS certification required.
Experience with general, neuro, spine, orthopedic, urology, vascular, colorectal, and robotic procedures (open, laparoscopic, and robotic case types) expected.
Must have both circulating and scrubbing experience.
Provide direct patient care in the operating room by circulating and scrubbing for various surgical procedures.
Ensure a safe and efficient environment for the surgical team and patients.
Monitor and assess patients' needs and report any changes to the appropriate team members.
Assist in preparing and maintaining the operating room equipment and instruments.
Collaborate with surgical team members to provide optimal patient care.
Document care provided in the electronic medical record system.
All compliance documents are due the Tuesday prior to the start of the contract. Orientation hours are non-billable and may vary based on contract length.
