Travel RN - Cardiac Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Cardiac Telemetry unit requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

• Active RN license (GA state or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Adult to geriatric patient population including post-MI, heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, and peripheral vascular disease cases
• Utilizes telemetry, EKG, and Doppler equipment, as well as peritoneal dialysis care
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on a 16-bed unit with an average daily census of 16
• Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication systems
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Provide telemetry-based cardiac care to adult and geriatric patients with a variety of cardiac conditions
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• No RTO can be requested if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment; if three occur, one holiday RTO request may be considered
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year to be eligible for reassignment
• Shift and contract length are firm with no alternate schedule requests accepted
