Responsible for serving as the plant-level Quality Management Representative for a Tier 1 North American automotive manufacturing facility. Ensures the Quality Management System (QMS) complies with IATF 16949, OEM customer-specific requirements, and internal standards. Acts as the primary quality liaison for the plant, performs audits, driving corrective actions, and promoting continuous improvement to meet customer, regulatory, and business objectives.

  • Serve as the plant-level Quality Management Representative in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements
  • Ensure the QMS is established, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved at the plant level.
  • Coordinate, lead, and support internal, external, and customer audits, including IATF, OEM, and customer-specific audits.
  • Act as the primary plant contact for certification bodies, OEM customers, and Tier 1 customer quality representatives
  • Ensure OEM customer-specific requirements (CSRs) are understood, implemented, and maintained within plant processes
  • Report QMS performance, audit results, KPIs, and improvement opportunities to plant and corporate management.
  • Ensure timely and effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
  • Maintain and control plant-level quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • Support the implementation and effective use of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans).
  • Promote a strong quality culture and support training and awareness of IATF 16949 and OEM requirements throughout the plant.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years experience in Automotive Manufacturing and QMS
  • Certified as IATF Internal Auditor and 6.3 Process Auditor
