Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician

Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician – Grovetown, GA or Augusta, Georgia

WSP is currently seeking a Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician in Grovetown, GA or Augusta, GA to support commercial, industrial, transportation and nuclear related construction projects.

• Perform lab classification and index property testing of soils
• Perform density testing of soils
• Sample and test concrete in the field and lab
• Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing data
• Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience on a variety of complex projects (preferred)
• Certifications may include a combination of ICC soils, ACI concrete, ICC concrete reinforcing steel, and ICC masonry
• Valid Driver’s License
• Reliability – must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times
• Ability to prepare reports and documentation
• Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in variable outside conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass drug test, physical, background check and maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy
