Position

Bioinformatics Analyst – Cardiovascular Genomics (Job ). Full‑time position located at Augusta University, Health Sciences Campus – 1120 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30912.

• Design and perform bioinformatics analyses in cardiovascular genomics, including GWAS, molecular QTL, drug screening, biomarker identification, precision medicine, single‑cell RNA & ATAC‑seq, and single‑cell CRISPR screening.
• Maintain research database and manage large genetic datasets and summary statistics.
• Collaborate with computational and wet‑lab biologists for mechanism elucidation.
• Prepare written and oral presentations of results for the team and the public.
• Supervise junior lab members.
• Assist the principal investigator in writing publications and grant applications.
• Perform other duties assigned by the PI.

• Master’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related natural/life/health care science with research experience in a relevant field.
• OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of three years of research and/or clinical experience.
• Experience in clinical trial research or a basic science laboratory is desirable.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computing software/databases.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Shift: Days, Monday–Friday (additional hours may be required).
• Salary: $45,400–$56,700 annually (commensurate with qualifications).
• Pay Band: B8.
