Job Summary
The Research Associate will conduct advanced neuroimmunology research, including experiments with transgenic mouse models, cell and molecular assays, advanced imaging techniques, small animal surgery, data analysis, and coordination with the Principal Investigator on research plans.
Responsibilities- Design and perform experiments using transgenic mouse models, cell and molecular assays, advanced imaging, and small animal surgery.
- Analyze and interpret data and coordinate with the PI on research plans.
- Master’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or related natural or life science.
- Experience in research, basic science, or clinical laboratory, particularly clinical trial research.
- Or Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with a minimum of three years of research and/or clinical experience.
- Advanced knowledge in neuroimmunology.
- Expertise in immunohistochemistry, histology, molecular biology (PCR, Western blot, cloning, promoter reporter assays).
- Expertise in small animal handling, behavioral testing, brain surgery, genotyping.
- Expertise in tissue culture methods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, work safely around biological materials, and manage lab inventory.
- Shift: Days;
Monday – Friday (outside normal business hours may be required). - Pay Band: B8, salary commensurate with qualifications within the established range.
