Performs a variety of complex duties involved in a clinical study, a basic science or research laboratory in support of research initiatives; develops and evaluates new techniques and procedures; may coordinate activities of support staff.

• Participate in the preparation and coordination of experiments and procedures, including caring for rodents, performing functional testing, scoring videos, and serving as a surgery assistant.
• Assist with ordering, maintain lab equipment and logbooks, archive specimens, and provide general support to the research team.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, social sciences, natural sciences, life sciences, health care, or materials science directly related to the research area, plus experience in a research or clinical setting.
• OR an Associate's degree in the same fields and a minimum of three years of experience in a research or clinical area.

• Some previous experience with social/behavioral science (public health) research is desirable.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to work on campus.
• Ability to use sound judgment and work independently.

• Shift: Days, Monday – Friday.
• Pay Band: B5.
• Salary Range: $17.88 – $17.94 per hour.
