Job SummaryConduct research on Alzheimer’s disease, neuropsychiatric disorders, and the microbiome using transgenic mouse models. Perform drug treatments, behavioral tests, stereotactic surgery, complex laboratory procedures, and manage a transgenic mouse colony. Contribute to manuscript and grant preparation.
Responsibilities- Conduct research on Alzheimer’s disease, neuropsychiatric disorders, and the microbiome using transgenic mouse models.
- Perform drug treatments, behavioral testing, stereotactic surgery, and varied chemical, biological, and histologic procedures.
- Collect mouse specimens and prepare samples for histology and molecular/biochemical analysis.
- Primary cell culture, histology, and imaging of mouse nervous system tissue.
- Manage transgenic mouse colony and perform small animal surgical and behavioral procedures.
- Identify and implement experimental and analytical pipeline improvements.
- Prepare and submit research papers, contribute to manuscript and grant preparation.
- Mentor junior lab members and promote a collaborative lab culture.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, life sciences or a related field and at least two years of applicable research experience, including clinical trials research.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other research databases.
Skills
:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication. Detail‑oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
Abilities
:
Maintain confidentiality. Work with research animals.
Shift: Days, Monday–Friday (outside of standard hours may be required). Pay Band B6. Salary commensurate with qualifications. Position fully funded through external sources; continued employment contingent on available funds.
