Position Summary
Sam's Club is seeking a dedicated Team Member to support operations on the sales floor, engage with members, maintain inventory, and ensure a safe, organized environment. The role requires compliance with company policies, proficiency with forklifts and pallet jacks, and a strong focus on customer service and team collaboration.
Responsibilities- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implement action plans and the Open Door Policy.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely, following company standards; safely pick up, move, place, and position merchandise pallets.
- Receive, organize and inventory merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers, maintaining accurate paper logs and documentation.
- Provide member service, acknowledging members, identifying needs, providing guidance, assisting with product purchasing, resolving member issues, and promoting company products and services.
- Maintain facility safety, conduct safety sweeps, follow forklift spotting procedures, and handle hazardous materials per company and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain sales floor appearance, zone areas, stock, rotate merchandise, remove damaged or out‑of‑date goods, set up displays, and manage promotional and seasonal merchandise.
- Process defective merchandise, follow sanitation and food‑safety policies, and monitor shrink, security risks, and safety.
- Assist with club pick‑up orders, ensuring proper selection, staging, auditing for accuracy, and timely completion.
- Track inventory, maintain in‑stock levels, control shrinkage, and report poor inventory practices.
- Operate and maintain forklifts safely, reporting unsafe conditions.
- Proactively identify and assist customers with technology services and items, model use, and identify shrink opportunities.
- Maintain equipment, ensure products are organized and stocked correctly, and promptly fix any problems.
- Adopt a culture of respect, inclusion, teamwork, mentorship, integrity, and continuous improvement, supporting the organization’s regenerative goals.
- 90 days of prior experience with forklift certification and ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Customer service experience.
- Retail experience.
- Experience supervising a team.
The hourly wage range is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage at the job location. Additional compensation may be paid as premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
