As a Cashier, you will play a major role in supporting Landscapers Supply’s ability to serve our customers. You will be the face of the store, greeting each customer as they enter.

You must help customers with questions or finalizing a purchase with a smile and pleasant shopping experience.

You will represent and promote the sales operation in a positive manner that ensures customer satisfaction.

• Greet customers entering or leaving the store with a smile and pleasant personality.
• Manage or scan transactions using cash, credit/debit cards or charge accounts.
• Collect payment and accurately count change.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or charge tickets.
• Engage customers in a friendly, courteous, and respectful manner in person and on the phone.
• Ask open-ended questions to determine customer needs.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area.
• Report any security or loss prevention issues to the manager.
• Verify checks and watch for counterfeit cash.

• Experience as a retail cashier or similar role.
• Basic PC and POS knowledge.
• Good math skills.
• Strong communication and customer relationship skills.
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.

• Knowledge of Paladin POS system.
• Basic knowledge of selling yard products or hardscape.

• Standing for the majority of the shift.
• Some lifting.
