Reporting to the Division Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is the primary front‑line sales representative for strategic industrial accounts. You play a vital role in delivering customer value and driving accelerated growth.
Territory:
Central and North Georgia, including Atlanta, USA.
Travel: RSMs are on the road visiting customers Tuesday‑Thursday, 3–4 times per week, with overnight stays at company‑approved hotels when required.
What will I do in this role?- Develop strategic sales targeting our established customer portfolio with multiple influencers in Central and North Georgia.
- Support our Industrial business and promote Hach’s products, from instrumentation and reagents to fully integrated solutions and services.
- Exercise entrepreneurial spirit to develop and execute a collaborative business plan and manage the territory as an autonomous business.
- Proactively sell to existing and new industrial customers within the defined geographic territory to drive market penetration and accelerate sales growth.
- Build in‑person relationships with engineering firms and other accounts that influence buying decisions.
- Build a network of customer and industry contacts to position Hach as a key member of the water management community.
- Participate in sales activities including customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations/evaluations, customer seminars, and channel management.
- Mentor the growth and development of other RSMs.
- Provide field input in corporate programs including market research, Kaizen events, and equipment beta testing.
- Develop monthly sales and account plans to achieve assigned targets.
- Execute planned activities and document them in Hach CRM, (SFDC).
- Prepare and present a monthly funnel review using SFDC to demonstrate funnel quality, activity plans, and account command.
- Maintain relationships with engineering firms and other indirect influencers.
- Develop a network of contacts in the territory.
- Engage in sales activities (site visits, trade seminars, demonstrations, etc.).
- Mentor other RSMs.
- Provide field input for company programs.
- 5+ years of direct sales experience in analytical instrumentation or water treatment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a science‑related field such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Knowledge or experience selling in the Industrial market.
- Hands‑on experience using CRM (e.g., ).
- Formal sales training and/or experience in Question‑Based Selling, Value Selling, Sandler, or other sales methodologies.

Total target compensation: $130K – $140K, uncapped variable earnings potential.
US‑only compensation range: $90,000 – $100,000 USD per year, with bonus pay eligibility.
