Client Executives are solution‑oriented individuals tasked with helping clients tackle their most critical challenges. The Client Executive is a field‑sales role responsible for direct client contract value retention and growth through expansion and new product introductions. The territory includes major client accounts with a sales quota of $1 million+ in contract value.

What you'll do:
  • Consult with C‑level executives to develop and implement an enterprise‑wide strategy that improves value delivered by Gartner’s products and services.
  • Manage your accounts toward increased customer happiness and account growth.
  • Fulfill a quota responsibility of $1 million+ of contract value within a territory of major account‑sized client accounts.
  • Handle forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
What you need:
  • 12-15 years of external experience with validated consultative sales, preferably in high‑technology (services, software or hardware), with evidence of prior success.
  • Proficiency in account planning and an understanding of territory management.
  • The ability to prospect and run C‑level and senior‑level relationships within large organizations.
  • Demonstrated intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships by offering insightful and strategic insights into their businesses.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process, from prospecting to close.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
What do we offer?

Gartner provides a competitive base salary of $144,000 to $184,000 plus an annual bonus plan or uncapped sales incentive, generous PTO, a 401(k) match up to $7,200 per year, stock‑purchase opportunities, and other benefits.
