Role Overview

Senior Director, Named Accounts – Healthcare, Southeast.

Lead and coach a team of Healthcare Named Accounts Managers, identify, develop, and retain high‑talent sales professionals, and collaborate closely with the field sales organization to drive account‑level success.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coach Healthcare Named Accounts Managers across the Southeast region.
  • Identify, develop, and retain high‑talent sales professionals who deliver value to the company.
  • Provide a hands‑on, customer‑facing presence and participate directly in closing business with key accounts.
  • Maintain and grow key customer relationships and design strategies for expanding Proofpoint’s customer base.
  • Oversee forecasting of sales opportunities, achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas, and ensure accurate pipeline management.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with each account.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience leading high‑performing field sales teams spread over a large geography.
  • Prior experience selling security or enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of new and current technologies and trends in the security industry.
  • Established security industry contacts in prospective customer and influencer communities.
  • Outstanding consultative selling skills and the ability to articulate Proofpoint’s value proposition clearly and effectively.
  • Business acumen with the ability to create a business plan, build a pipeline, forecast, and close business.
  • Experience driving and participating in outbound calling.
  • Experience building demand‑generation plans with marketing.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presenting and interacting with customers and internal stakeholders.
