Role:
Director of U.S. Commercial Roofing

We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven sales leader to guide and strengthen our U.S. commercial roofing sales organization, with a primary focus on Single Ply roofing systems. This role is responsible for executing sales strategy, developing key customer relationships, supporting regional sales teams, and contributing to market growth across the commercial roofing sector.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in commercial roofing systems, strong relationships within the contractor, consultant, and building‑owner community, and a proven ability to elevate sales performance in a competitive construction products environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute national sales strategy focused on Single Ply commercial roofing systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Support, coach, and develop regional sales teams across multiple U.S. markets to drive consistent performance.
  • Contribute to revenue growth through engagement with contractors, distributors, architects, consultants, general contractors, and building owners.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and assist in developing strategic partnerships and national account relationships.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, technical services, operations, and product management to support commercial initiatives.
  • Implement sales processes including forecasting, KPI tracking, and performance metrics for regional teams.
  • Maintain strong industry relationships with roofing contractors, consultants, architects, and developers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, pricing dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Support specification development and pull‑through strategies in partnership with technical and architectural sales teams.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and assist with major project pursuits and strategic bids.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, associations, and customer events.
  • Ensure pipeline visibility, and consistent reporting practices.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and customer service excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience in commercial roofing, building envelope, or construction materials.
  • Strong knowledge of Single Ply roofing systems including TPO and PVC.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi‑regional sales teams or managing large territories with measurable results.
  • Established relationships within the commercial roofing ecosystem (contractors, consultants, distributors, building owners).
  • Experience managing strategic accounts and supporting large‑scale commercial projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, forecasting tools, and sales analytics.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with manufacturers of commercial roofing systems or related building products.
  • Knowledge of specification sales processes and roofing warranty programs.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, cool roof technologies, and energy‑efficient roofing systems.
  • Experience supporting both direct and indirect/channel sales teams.
