Overview

The Regional Sales Director is responsible for driving profitable growth across retail and wholesale channels within a defined region, with a focus on hard surface flooring products. This role leads and develops a team of Territory Sales Managers, executes regional sales strategies, and builds strong customer relationships to achieve revenue, margin, and market expansion goals. The position requires a balance of strategic leadership, hands‑on sales execution, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Requirements
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team to achieve sales and profitability targets
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and performance expectations
  • Execute regional sales strategies including product launches, pricing, promotions, and merchandising
  • Drive expansion of retail and distributor partnerships and identify growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity
  • Report on revenue, margin, and distribution metrics to leadership
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams to support business objectives
  • Manage inventory initiatives, including closeouts and excess stock
  • Travel extensively to support field execution and customer engagement
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of outside sales experience, including 4-6+ years in a leadership role
  • Experience in flooring – LVP and Hardwood are a must!
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and lead high‑performing teams
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Experience with retail‑focused distribution models preferred
  • Knowledge of merchandising, pricing, promotions, and inventory management
  • Entrepreneurial, results‑driven, and hands‑on leadership style
  • Ability to travel frequently (approximately 75% of the time)
