Account Manager
Job Summary:
This Field Supervisor is responsible for managing transit and intercity mileage accounts, overseeing account maintenance, supervising Bus Technicians and Work Leaders, and managing profit and loss statements and territory expenses. The role also coordinates deployment of selected solutions with customers and dealer partners, and manages onboarding of new solutions.
Southeast (includes Atlanta, GA) – The ideal candidate would live in or near Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities- Personnel Administration – Interview and hire teammates for service and field positions; train new teammates on mileage processes, removal codes for scrap and retreading, account management per contract terms and physical inventories; manage schedules, productivity, and shift coverage at each account; act as liaison between corporate office and hourly teammates; oversee payroll logging and reviews.
- Operations – Manage all aspects of tire operations to maximize miles per tire; perform Fleet Analyzer reports; partner with Sales Engineering on tire removal; maintain tire dealer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction; confirm customer adherence to contractual obligations; coordinate government‑contract compliance; coordinate roadside emergencies and maintain activity in Salesforce.
- Solutions Deployment – Coordinate deployment of solutions to new customers; provide virtual and in‑person support during installation; assist selling teams and dealer networks with planning of solution setups; provide expertise as customers establish solutions.
- Selling – Analyze and recommend products and services to customers, including inventory levels and needed personnel; utilize existing customer base to sell and deploy selected solutions; identify and call on prospective new accounts across bus, auto‑hauler, truck, taxi, and truck fleets; maintain positive relationships with existing customers and negotiate renewal contracts.
- Collections and Account Management – Collect past‑due amounts, obtain and report customer mileage, collect un‑depreciated assets, manage transfer of assets between accounts, and maintain communication with departments and customers.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Ability to travel as needed for physical inventory management and shop/fleet inspections.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience working and managing remotely.
- Proficiency in high‑risk culture of safety and compliance.
- Tire industry knowledge.
- Proficient computer skills – MS Office and time‑keeping systems.
- Sales experience.
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions and work independently.
- Analytical skills and data‑reporting understanding.
- Understanding of contract and government compliance.
- Profit & Loss knowledge/experience.
