Position Summary

This role manages transit and intercity mileage accounts, overseeing new and current sales, customer relations, inventory management, collections, scrap and retread disposition, and asset removal. The Field Supervisor maintains accounts and supervises Bus Technicians and Work Leaders, manages profit and loss statements, controls territory expenses, and coordinates the deployment of solutions with customers and dealer partners. The role reports directly to the Division Manager, Mileage Sales and is responsible for the Southeast territory;

the ideal candidate will live in or near Atlanta, GA.

Personnel Administration
  • Interview and hire teammates for service and field positions.
  • Train new teammates on mileage processes, removal codes for scrap and retreading, account management per Contract Terms and Yearly Physical Inventories, and tire-related technical requirements.
  • Manage personnel at multiple locations, including maintenance of schedules, productivity, and shift coverage at each account.
  • Act as liaison between corporate office and hourly teammates, communicating updates and resolving support issues.
  • Ensure hourly teammates comply with transit and Bridgestone policy requirements.
  • Oversee proper payroll logging, reviews, and submittals.
Operations
  • Manage all aspects of tire operations to ensure maximum miles per tire.
  • Perform Fleet Analyzer reports for fleet performance.
  • Partner with Sales Engineering on tire removal to ensure quality and consistency of technical recommendations and customer correspondence.
  • Maintain tire dealer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Confirm customer adherence to contractual obligations in the Mileage Sales Agreement.
  • Communicate with management on territory and field reports.
  • Handle effective travel management.
  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of government contracts, including performance, product quality, supply, and billing compliance.
  • Coordinate with fleets and dealers during roadside emergencies.
  • Maintain activity in Salesforce.
Solutions Deployment
  • Coordinate the deployment of solutions to new customers within and outside the current Mileage Sales book of business.
  • Provide virtual and in-person support during the initial phase of product installation.
  • Assist selling teams, internal networks, and dealer networks with planning of solution setup and installs.
  • Provide expertise to customers as they establish various solutions within their fleet and engage with new product offerings.
Selling
  • Analyze and make recommendations to customers based on individual needs for service and product issues, including inventory levels and necessary service personnel and equipment.
  • Utilize the existing customer base to sell and deploy selected solution products in addition to the current Mileage Sales portfolio.
  • Identify and contact prospective new accounts in various industries such as bus, auto‑hauler, truck, taxi, and truck.
  • Maintain and build positive working relationships with existing customers and recommend additional service sales.
  • Conduct annual cost‑analysis reviews with customers to establish lease program value and explain rate changes; negotiate renewal contracts based on rates approved by Mileage management.
Collections and Account Management
  • Collect past‑due amounts for mileage, scrap, and sold tires as billed.
  • Obtain and report customer mileage monthly.
  • Collect any undevaluated assets for closed accounts, as necessary.
  • Manage transfer of assets from one account to another.
  • Maintain communication and updates between departments and customers.
