Inside Sales Rep

optek-Danulat is a business within the Fluid Handling Business Segment of Crane Co, a US multi-national which specializes in highly engineered products in niche markets. optek-Danulat designs, manufactures, markets and distributes a range of specialized instrumentation for a wide range of applications in a number of industries including the food and beverage, oil & gas, refinery, chemical, biopharmaceutical, and energy industries.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Inside Sales Representative to support customer service, quotation, and order entry activities during a period of operational integration. This role is critical to ensuring accurate order processing, strong customer communication, and alignment with internal processes and controls.

• Answer and manage incoming calls on the main customer service line, screen inquiries, and direct to appropriate internal teams.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
• Prepare and revise customer quotations based on inputs from Sales, established pricing rules, and product knowledge.
• Convert approved quotations into orders using Quote Werks Enter and process customer orders in Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Route completed orders to order processing or back to Sales when purchase order revisions are required.
• Ensure all customer, pricing, and order data is accurately recorded and maintained in company systems (Quote Werks, Sage 50).
• Maintain proper documentation to support transactions and ensure audit readiness.
• Provide backup support to production and order processing teams as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to resolve order or customer-related issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a similar technical degree (required).
• Experience in customer service, order management, or inside sales support (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
• Experience with ERPs (preferred).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred).
• Exposure to structured processes or controlled environments (SOX awareness is a plus).
• Career interest in outside technical sales.
