Outside Sales Representative

Overview

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will develop new prospects and maintain contacts with established customers to sell Company products. You will regularly interact with prospects and customers in person at their sites or other off‑site locations.

• Meet or exceed the assigned annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling assigned products within the territory in compliance with the Company’s pricing policies.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively, and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in the collection of past‑due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
• Travel extensively, including some overnight travel, to meet customer needs.

• Minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience (2+ years preferred).
• 4‑year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to learn the business and work independently to achieve goals.
• Persuasive selling ability.

• Base pay: $55,000 per year.
• Shift hours:
  Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
• Personal vehicle use for business; company offers a Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) reimbursement program to support eligible drivers.
