Job SummaryThe Research Associate will support the overall functioning of the Clinical Trials Office (CTO), which assists with physician‑initiated, grant‑funded, and industry‑sponsored clinical trials.
Responsibilities- Recruit new study participants, including screening and randomization.
- Manage study documents, regulatory files, data entry, and assist with unfunded or investigator‑initiated studies.
- Develop enrollment strategies, schedule pre‑site visits, site initiation visits, study start‑up visits, and monitoring visits.
- Respond promptly to correspondence, adjust daily schedules, and coordinate care with investigators and other departments.
- Keep investigators informed of patient conditions and support adverse event handling, workflow changes, and study amendments.
- Act as patient advocates, schedule follow‑up appointments, perform required laboratory and other tests, and manage specimen collection, processing, storage, and inventory.
- Maintain FDA, sponsor, and institutional review board documentation; obtain and preserve complete source documentation.
- Complete case report forms accurately and timely; input data into sponsor’s EDC, AU OnCore, and financial console systems.
- Assist with audit preparation and respond to internal audits from the AU IRB Office.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, handling sensitive patient data.
- Attend meetings, computer trainings, and workshops as requested.
- Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and up to two weeks on call per month.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related natural, life, healthcare, or materials science field and research experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the same fields with a minimum of three years of research and/or clinical experience.
- Completion of Citi Program (Learner group 1 FDA regulated research).
- CCRC, CCRA, or CCRP certification.
- BLS certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software/databases.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capability to work early/late hours, nights, weekends, and up to two weeks on call per month.
Shift: Days;
Monday – Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required).
Salary: $45,400 – $46,200 annually.
Pay Band: B8.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications within the established range.
Recruitment Period:

Faculty candidates must provide proof of completed degree(s) and post‑secondary coursework; foreign‑trained candidates must provide a credential evaluation.
