About the role:

Augusta University is Georgia's innovation center for education and health care. The position supports the Georgia Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office by ensuring accurate data entry, transmission, retrieval, and management of study data in accordance with protocol parameters, regulations, and HIPAA. The role also involves scheduling research tests/appointments for study participants.

Job Summary

Responsible for the accurate data entry, transmission, retrieval, and management of study data for the Georgia Cancer Center, Clinical Trials Office into various websites. Ensure data meets protocol parameters and applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and HIPAA requirements. Also responsible for scheduling research tests and/or appointments for research patients.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately enters study data into case report forms (electronic and paper) according to study requirements for all studies.
  • Enter data into OnCore for financial milestones and assist with entering patient visits.
  • Ensure data is accurately and timely transmitted to the sponsor; respond to queries in a timely manner with research nurses.
  • Ensure data handling complies with HIPAA and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Foster communication with the Clinical Research Associate (CRA) and coordinate scheduling and support for monitoring visits; work with pharmacy, security administrator, regulatory, and finance to ensure CRA visits are scheduled properly.
  • Order required research scans/tests from various departments using an IDR and upload to sponsor portals while protecting PHI.
  • Serve as the main contact for scheduling research tests/study visits; provide backup to the security administrator.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, OR
  • Completion of two years of college-level coursework and two years of related work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
  • High attention to detail and change management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management, prioritizing, problem-solving, organization, multi-tasking, and diplomacy skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively communicate with internal and external clients and colleagues.
Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days/M-F

Pay Band: B6

Salary Minimum: $18.85-$23.56 per hour. Salary is commensurate with qualifications within the established range.

Recruitment Period:
Until Filled. Augusta University offers a variety of benefits to full-time benefits-eligible employees and some of our half-time (or more) employees. Tuition Assistance may be available for full-time employees after six months of employment.

Conditions of Employment

Motor vehicle reports may be required for positions that involve driving an Augusta University vehicle. For faculty hires, proof of completed academic degree(s) and post-secondary coursework may be required in the form of original transcripts.
