Assist research involving transgenic mouse models to study Alzheimer’s disease, neuropsychiatric conditions, and microbiome interactions.

• Assist research involving transgenic mouse models to study Alzheimer’s disease, neuropsychiatric conditions, and microbiome interactions (e.g., feeding special diets, administering pharmacological drugs to mice; weighting mice; animal behavior tests).
• Collect specimens (e.g., brain, fecal samples) and maintain organized sample collection and processing logs.
• Assist with sample processing by microtome/cryostat sectioning.
• Assist and maintain mouse breeding colonies and genotyping.
• Perform molecular biology experiments such as qRT-PCR, ELISA, and western blotting.
• Perform microscopic and statistical analysis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent supplemented with two years of college-level work in the physical and/or biological sciences, and considerable experience in performing diagnostic laboratory tests and examinations in a related area.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Shift: Days; M‑F (may require work outside standard business hours).
• Pay Band: B4; salary commensurate with qualifications.
