Job Summary
Security Officer – Protect the facility’s safety, enforce policies, and support core values.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm (including rotating weekends) or 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am.
Pay Rate: $13.00/hour.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
- Document security activity with Daily Activity Reports (DAR) and complete incident reports as required.
- Control vehicle and personnel access in accordance with established procedures.
- Respond to emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.
- Operate specialized equipment as needed (Closed-Circuit Television Systems, vehicle scales, computer systems, etc.).
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying projects to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Enforce Sizemore’s and client’s policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs preferred but not required.
- Demonstrate commitment to service and professionalism in conduct and demeanor.
- Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm, and diplomacy when dealing with anyone.
- Show initiative and sound judgment in evaluating and reacting to situations.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in potentially stressful and time‑sensitive situations.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and high attention to detail, including prioritization.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, read and comprehend detailed instructions, and process information accurately and clearly.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- All tattoos must not be visible in the prescribed uniform; tattoos on head, face, neck, or hands are not allowed.
- All facial piercings must be removed while on duty.
- Facial hair must be clean shaven except for a mustache. Hair should be clean, neatly trimmed, natural color.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Pass a clean MVR check (if driving).
- Pass pre‑employment and random drug screens.
- Verify employment history.
