Defensive Cyber Intelligence Analyst

Duties

• Serve as an Intelligence Analyst in the Cyber Military Intelligence Group's Defensive Cyberspace Support Team (DCST) supporting Army Cyber Command ARCYBER.
• Responsible for all-source intelligence analysis and assessments, with primary emphasis on intelligence support to Cyber Operations and secondary support to Information and/or Electronic Warfare.
• Conduct analysis of signals intelligence, counterintelligence, human intelligence, open-source intelligence, commercial threat intelligence, publicly available information, counter terrorism, foreign military forces, operations, and capabilities.
• Initiate analytical contacts to enhance mission effectiveness.
• Represent activity in working groups and committees as substantive authority in subject area.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence‑scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre‑appointment and periodic basis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret security clearance based on a TS (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain access to National Security Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency accredited facilities and networks. [Military and External Affiliates Division (MEAD) Security In‑Processing (SIP) process.]
• All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

Specialized

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes experience in Science & Technology (S&T) intelligence analysis, intelligence production and/or intelligence collection operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-11).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence‑related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
