Overview
Summary:
Responsible for providing overall field leadership for fire alarm construction projects, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards; oversees installers, technicians, subcontractors, and coordination with project management and other trades.
- Oversee field execution of fire alarm installation projects across one or multiple job sites.
- Supervise fire alarm installers, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (NEC), local AHJ requirements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate manpower, schedules, material deliveries, and equipment needs.
- Serve as the primary field point of contact for project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and safety performance.
- Conduct job site inspections and enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
- Support commissioning, testing, inspections, and system acceptance.
- Assist with problem resolution, change management, and field-driven solutions.
- Mentor and develop field personnel and future leaders.
High school diploma, technical or trade education preferred, and 10+ years of fire alarm installation experience; 3+ years in a foreman, lead technician, or superintendent role; NICET Level III or IV in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
Computer SkillsMicrosoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Physical DemandsAbility to walk job sites, climb ladders, and access active construction areas; occasional lifting of tools or materials up to 50 lbs; regularly required to sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms, and/or climb a ladder; field-based role on active construction sites; exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction environments; occasional travel between job sites.
