WR Trades Associate , II and III-Meter Repair

Job Overview

This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs related to meter services/repair group. Employees generally work independently (solo) performing water meter maintenance and repairs and interact face-to-face with customers assisting in troubleshooting and resolving issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance; inspect equipment and materials for proper installation and potential problems or hazards.
• Replace, install, and test residential and commercial meters.
• Utilize specialized equipment and computers to analyze data and enter field work orders.
• Assist customers with on-site questions and concerns regarding utility services.
• Complete forms and report detailed activities and findings.
• Maintain and stock assigned service truck with necessary equipment and materials used to complete tasks.
• Work in confined spaces; also involves squatting, kneeling, lifting, and excavating with shovels and other hand tools.

• Safety sensitive position requiring a pre‑employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
• May require on‑call rotation and emergency after‑hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

WR Trades Associate I – $38,098 – $59,052 annually.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – to be obtained within 12 months of employment.

WR Trades Associate II – $44,968 – $71,948 annually.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND
• Two years of related work experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – to be obtained within 12 months of employment.

WR Trades Associate III – $53,286 – $85,258 annually.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. AND
• Four years of related work experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – to be obtained within 12 months of employment.
