Position: REEVES - Flagger / Asphalt Laborer - Vienna, GA

Mission

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking a Flagger / Asphalt Laborer based out of Vienna, GA. The successful candidate will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Labor job duties are continually changing depending on the requirements of each project. Qualified candidates are expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.

Main Responsibilities
  • Must have knowledge of the requirements for erecting and maintaining traffic control signs and other devices as prescribed in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
  • Must keep equipment and materials neat, clean and orderly at all times on the projects.
  • Must be able to carry out detailed instructions, set up and remove traffic control devices, and use good judgement in decision making to work without direct supervision.
  • Must maintain a good attitude and be polite at all times to motorists.
  • Must be able to work safely in traffic situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No experience required.
  • Must be able to work day or night shifts.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Provide own transportation to and from work.
  • Driving license (required) along with a driving record that meets company safety guidelines to operate a company vehicle (required).
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees are regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or walk; talk or hear, and taste or smell. Employees must regularly lift or move up to 60 pounds.

Vision required includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Employees must have 20/40 vision, naturally or with corrective lenses. Hearing should be excellent or corrected by an audio device.

Work Environment

Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions and vibration. They are occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
