Position: Hotel Maintenance Associate - Tru by Hilton Augusta GA

Overview

Maintenance Associate responsible for keeping the hotel’s guest and heart of the hotel areas in clean, safe, and functional condition through preventive maintenance, repairs, and support to guests. Provides a professional and hospitable service while upholding the hotel’s mission, values, and culture.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to hotel equipment, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen systems.
  • Inspect and maintain life safety systems, including fire alarm and sprinkler equipment.
  • Respond promptly to all maintenance work orders and document completion.
  • Keep rooms, halls, and service areas in optimal operating condition.
  • Work directly with guests to resolve maintenance issues while maintaining privacy and a professional attitude.
  • Manage master set of keys and follow company security procedures.
  • Report and correct hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness of personal work area and assist with general facility upkeep.
  • Perform property‑specific tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding significant concerns or hazards.
  • Comply with all safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year experience in a branded, quality hotel or equivalent maintenance environment.
  • Working knowledge of electricity, air‑conditioning, plumbing, and general preventive maintenance.
  • High School diploma or equivalent;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, honesty, trustworthiness, and excellent attendance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Stand, bend, stretch, reach, and lift or carry up to 60 pounds; push or pull 100 pounds as required.
  • Stand for up to eight consecutive hours.
  • Work in all types of weather and during holidays, weekends, evenings, and long hours as needed.
