Job SummaryUnder general supervision, inspects, maintains and repairs all types of small arms up to and including 75MM M120 Salute Cannon. Determines general condition of the weapons, the nature of the malfunction, and repairs as required to ensure proper tolerances and function.
Essential Functions- Performs direct support-level and general support-level field and shop maintenance on small arms weapons up to and including 75MM M120 salute cannon.
- Tests, recondition, troubleshoot and repair all assigned small arms including fully automatic machine guns and related equipment.
- Uses technical manuals, parts lists, Modification Work Orders, Maintenance Bulletins, TACOM Messages, etc. to determine trouble. Repairs or replaces defective parts as directed.
- Performs operational checks by using technical manuals and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinates with and advises lead repairer on maintenance status, equipment requirements, problem areas and corrective action.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for conforming to all safe work practices and procedures.
- Work requires walking, bending, and long periods of standing.
- Works on concrete floors and in drafty areas. May be exposed to fumes, fluids, dirt, resulting in bruises, cuts, burns, and skin irritation. Protective wear and other safety equipment are required during all periods of exposure to hazardous conditions.
- Work will require lifting up to 50lbs.
- Perform repetitive tasks throughout the day.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in weapons maintenance and repair, including semi-automatic, automatic and burst-capable weapons.
- Related weapons maintenance and repair formal training may be substituted for up to two years’ experience.
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a military driver’s license within 30 days.
- High school graduate or equivalent (either a G.E.D. or three years of work experience demonstrating the ability to write, to read and comprehend written instructional documents, perform common mathematical tasks, and to communicate effectively).

Pay Rate: $31.38 per hour. Benefits: $7.35 per hour (does not include overtime). The fringe benefit is a company-paid benefit mandated by U.S. DOL-WHD.
