Monday through Friday, 8:00–5:00

Position Type: 1.00 FTE, Full time, Employee (FLSA Non‑Exempt)

Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots a variety of electrical equipment and systems. Also conducts preventive and general maintenance.

• Serve as primary electrician for Savannah River Ecology Lab maintenance department – 35%
• Work with general maintenance mechanics completing preventive maintenance requirements – 30%
• Work with contractors (HVAC, electrical, construction) to facilitate their work for our facility and interface with Savannah River Site contractors – 20%
• Ensure all work adheres to Savannah River Site DOE/NNSA standards and make urgent or unplanned supplies purchases for repairs – 15%

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and five years experience.

• Electrical and high voltage experience and ability to provide general maintenance, construction, and HVAC support.
• Ability to work with electricity including voltages up to 480 volts.
• Ability to assist with general facility renovation and construction.
• Communication – clear speaking, writing, active listening, conveying information effectively.

Lift 50 lbs and work outside in various climate conditions.

Position requires a valid driver's license. Requires a P‑Card and a credit check. Must have security access.
