Developmental Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC Maintenance

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance to join our local retail store team. The role focuses on routine maintenance tasks to keep Walmart stores, equipment, and fixtures safe, functional, and visually appealing.

• Assist or perform all primary maintenance tasks under the supervision of a senior technician.
• Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and other craft skills.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment to complete jobs efficiently.
• Use the work order management system to receive and document reactive repair work orders for stores and associates.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Comply with all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50lb., work at heights, finish tasks in various temperatures, and sit or stand for extended periods.
• Valid, state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• 1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, or 2 years of Walmart store experience.
• Fluent in English.

• Mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

The hourly wage range is $16.00–$28.00. Premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
