Lead Water and Fire Mitigation Technician wanted at Rytech Restoration! Keep building on your current industry experience and lead talented techs in completing exceptional work. You'll be based in Augusta, GA, but may occasionally come to our main Columbia, SC office for required training and support.
Compensation- $19.00 - $23.00/hour

Our Lead Water and Fire Mitigation Technician typically works 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available. There is an on‑call rotation for emergency weekend and after‑hours services.
You will lead high‑quality mitigation, restoration, and demolition services to appropriately handle water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. Crew members will turn to you for guidance, and you will ensure all technicians complete safe and efficient work according to industry standards. With a positive and professional attitude, you will communicate with homeowners, adjusters, and leadership teams throughout each project to make sure everyone’s on the same page.
You will help set up and monitor drying equipment, perform moisture mapping, and assist with controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials. Throughout the project, you will maintain accurate, updated job documentation and photos in Mitigate and Mica software. Your leadership skills and hands‑on abilities will make a positive difference for customers in their times of need.
- IICRC certification in WRT
- 2+ years of hands‑on mitigation experience
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews and maintain efficient workflows
- Strong proficiency in drying principles, equipment use, and best industry practices
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in crawlspaces and attics, and perform manual labor tasks
- Ability to work a rotating on‑call schedule and complete occasional after‑hours services
- Ability to cover our service area, which includes 30909, 30901, 30815, 30907, 30904, 30906, and 30912
- Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and a strategic problem‑solving mindset
- Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
- IICRC FSRT and/or AMRT certification
- Experience as a lead or senior‑level technician
- Background Check: May include criminal history and employment verification
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Review: Applicants for driving positions must maintain an acceptable driving record and insurable status under the company's policy
- Drug Screening: Pre‑employment drug testing is required
- Review of their Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Participation in required drug and/or alcohol testing (pre‑employment, random, post‑accident, or reasonable suspicion)
- Ongoing responsibility to maintain a safe driving record
