Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. Uses a variety of tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Requires a high school diploma, an Electrician License, and works under moderate supervision.
Responsibilities- Perform routine repairs on electrical and lighting system components.
- Test and check electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate testing instruments.
- Replace faulty switches, outlets, wiring, and common 120V electrical system components (lighting fixtures, tubes, ballasts, receptacles, circuit breakers, occupancy sensor relays).
- Install basic electrical system components including switches, light fixtures, receptacles, fans, circuit breakers, and associated wiring.
- Assist higher‑level electricians on larger and more complex repair and installation projects involving service panels, feeders, branch circuits, and specialized electrical systems such as lighting controls, generators, emergency and standby power systems, fire alarms, and motor controls.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the latest version of the National Electrical Code.
- May be required to serve on-call and remain work‑ready during scheduled on-call periods or rotations.
- Perform any other duties/tasks as required.
- High School diploma or GED from a recognized accredited organization plus at least one year of experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in installation, repair, and operation of a wide array of common electrical and lighting system components.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Detail‑oriented.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Shift: Day – Monday to Friday
Pay Band: 8
Salary Minimum: $21.83/hour
Recruitment Period: 11/13/25 – Until Filled

All selected candidates must pass a background check. Depending on duties, credit checks, purchase card usage, and driving may also be required.
