Whaley Food service, LLC is one of the largest commercial kitchen equipment repair service companies in the Southeast with over 600 employees across 31 locations. We are hiring a Commercial Installation Lead immediately. Sign-on bonus available for qualified service technicians.

The Commercial Installation Lead provides customer equipment installation of HVACR and commercial kitchen equipment (e.g., fryers, grills, ovens, freezers).

• Mentor, lead, and motivate team members in a safe, productive and efficient manner.
• Install commercial HVACR and kitchen equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Design, fabricate, and install various ducts and duct fittings as required.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team regarding repairs and status updates.
• Communicate part order(s) with branch.
• Document tasks (parts/work orders, timesheets) accurately and on a timely basis.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Three years of installation experience with combined commercial kitchen equipment and HVACR equipment (e.g., RTU's, chillers).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completed satisfactory background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that aligns with safety standards.

• Ability to lead and/or work within a team.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Plumbing background is a plus.
• Contractor, journeyman, and/or HVAC certification would be a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment.
• Extensive daily travel to work site locations.
• Occasionally to frequent exertion in high and low temperature environments (overheated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors).
• Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
• Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units requiring extreme caution and safety equipment.
