HVAC Technician
Education:
High school diploma preferred. Technical degree/diploma in the field of air-conditioning/heating preferred.
Certification or Licensure:
Must possess a valid state driver license and EPA Certification for the use and handling of refrigerants.
Skills:
Knowledge of air-conditioning tools and equipment and how to use each. Knowledge of electricity. Ability to read blueprints and schematics. Good interpersonal skills with fellow workers and other personnel.
Work Experience:
Minimum of two years field experience in heating and air-conditioning. Possess ability to work independently to resolve problems with HVAC systems.
Preventive maintenance and the repair of all types of heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
Good physical condition (heavy lifting). Sufficient physical strength and ability to lift and move heavy objects (minimum 50lbs.) and perform manual labor. Working from heights, frequent use of ladders. Walking, kneeling, bending, and squatting.
