Job Overview
Part‑Time Criminal Court Researcher – Georgia (Whitfield & Gordon Counties). Must be authorized to work in the US, reside within 30 minutes of courthouse, and have a valid driver license.
Location & HoursWhitfield & Gordon Counties, GA. 20 hours per week (4 hours/day, Monday‑Friday). Hours flexible within morning courthouse hours (e.g., 8am‑1pm Central Time).
CompensationApproximately $16–17 USD per hour. Temporary gas stipend of $200 per jurisdiction monthly ($400 total per month).
Responsibilities- Travel to assigned courthouses to research and review criminal and/or civil public record information via onsite electronic access systems.
- Perform additional research from applicable websites and state agency portals.
- Interpret court records and related information, accurately documenting, editing and modifying results.
- Contact courts and state agencies when additional information is needed to ensure compliance.
- Provide accurate and detailed results and case information to the CRRG via database integration or email.
- Conduct criminal background checks using public access systems at courthouse(s).
- Verify information for criminal records and upload search results.
- Investigate and recommend improved methods for conducting criminal background checks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver license and willingness to travel daily to courthouses.
- Live within a 30‑minute commute to the designated courthouse.
- Reliable home Wi‑Fi and access to a document shredder.
- Strong organizational, research and administrative skills.
- Ability to read legal documentation and perform court research.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently and prioritize time‑sensitive tasks.
Company provides equipment (laptop, printer/scanner/fax machine) and personal cell phone reimbursement.
