Substance Abuse Counselor – Drug Court

Work with adults who have substance abuse disorders and are currently in Adult Felony Accountability Court. Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of client strengths, substance abuse, mental health treatment needs, and biopsychosocial histories. Meet with clients regularly to provide individual and group counseling, intervention techniques, and relapse prevention planning.

• CAC‑I, CAC‑II, GCADC‑I, CADC, CADC‑T or CCIT
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally
• Have an understanding of and sensitivity to serving the culturally diverse and dual diagnosed mental health population
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Clean Criminal Background Check (no conviction or credible evidence of abuse, neglect, or sexual exploitation)
