Working hours:

8 am‑5 pm, Monday‑Friday, occasional evening and weekend work required. Salary: $1,037 monthly stipend.

Start date:

September 1 2026. Duration: 12 months (September 2026 – August 2027).

Hours:

20 hours/week (approx. 900 hours total).

The Ameri Corps State program provides U.S. citizens with opportunities to serve. The 4‑H Ameri Corps State Member will deliver youth‑development programming directly to youth under the direction of the County Extension Agent and the Ameri Corps State Program Coordinator. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and delivering 4‑H programming (in‑school club meetings, after‑school clubs, summer camp, community service projects), recruiting and training volunteers, collecting impact data, and attending trainings and events.

Members provide transportation to youth and may deliver programming virtually.

• Facilitate and teach 4‑H in‑school club meetings.
• Prepare students for 4‑H Project Achievement.
• Attend 4‑H Summer Camp.
• Design and implement community service projects.
• Assist with 4‑H base programming.
• Assist the 4‑H Agent with planning and development of 4‑H programming; provide transportation to youth.
• Recruit, screen, train, and engage 4‑H volunteers; coordinate volunteer registration database.
• Track and document data related to Ameri Corps performance measures; complete monthly reports and administer surveys to youth.
• Attend local, district, and state program activities and events; attend trainings (including Ameri Corps New Service Year Orientation, monthly webinars).

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Independent judgment, passion for service, and ability to plan, develop, and direct youth education programs.
• Ability to drive, lift light loads, and work outdoors in adverse weather.
• Must be able to meet required driving and child interaction requirements.

• Housing not provided; transportation to youth responsibilities.
• Must complete background investigation (criminal, employment, reference, and possible drug test).
