Controls Engineer – Model-Based Design (HVAC)

We are looking for a Controls Engineer with expertise in Model-Based Design (MBD) to develop and validate embedded control software for commercial and residential HVAC/refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink
, embedded controls, and model-based verification in a collaborative engineering environment.

• Design and develop control algorithms using MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Simscape
  .
• Build, verify, and validate model-based embedded software for HVAC/refrigeration applications.
• Develop automated test plans and perform MIL/SIL testing, coverage analysis, and model validation.
• Ensure compliance with MAAB modeling guidelines and support auto-code generation.
• Integrate models with C/C++ embedded software and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Support debugging, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement in an Agile environment.

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• 3+ years of Model-Based Design experience using MATLAB/Simulink
  .
• 2+ years of controls software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Stateflow, Simscape, C/C++, Git
  , and automated verification/testing.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, control theory, and software validation.

• Experience with HVAC or refrigeration control systems
  .
• Knowledge of MIL, SIL, and HIL testing.
• Python scripting for automation and testing.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
