Summary

Position located at Aquatics, Fort Gordon, GA — Recreation Division.

• Serve as Aquatics Manager overseeing aquatic program management and supervision for AFRC activity.
• Participate in or lead planning process to provide a wide range of conventional aquatic activities.
• Coordinate details for recurring and non‑recurring aquatic, fitness, instructional, and joint community programs.
• Establish aquatic certification curriculum for lifeguard, lifeguard instructor, water safety instructor, water fitness instructor, and other safety, fitness, and recreational certification programs.
• Interview and select staff, provide orientation, training, and supervision; provide leadership, direction, management, and analysis of all program aspects as required.

U.S. citizens, nationals, or non‑U.S. nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) continuous years immediately preceding federal affiliation.

• Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
• One‑year probationary period may apply.
• Complete E‑Verify check.
• Undergo Tier 1 background investigation as required by AR 215‑3.
• Participate in ongoing department health and safety training; rigorous physical activity may be required.

• Experience in planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, administering and executing aquatic programs (indoor or outdoor).
• Current certifications:
• • Lifeguard certification
• • First Aid and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer or equivalent
• • Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
• • Water Safety Instructor certification
• • Administration (02) certification

• Current Lifeguard certification
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certificate
• Current Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Pool Operator certification
• Current Water Safety Instructor certification
