About the role
The CDL Class A or Class B Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the client’s sites. Drives will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, and flatbeds.
Responsibilities- Safely operate equipment following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
- Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
- Ensure the placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
- Maintain paperwork including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Secure cargo before and during transit.
- Complete additional assigned duties.
- High School Diploma / GED preferred.
- Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, including tanker experience.
- CDL Class A or Class B with Tanker endorsements preferred.
- Haz Mat endorsement is preferred but not required.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
- Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times.
M-F days with rotating Saturday shift once a month.
Physical Demands of the Role- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
- Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
