About the Position

Waste Connections of Houston is looking for a safety conscious CDL Route Driver to join the team in Houston, TX. The position is located at 2010 Wilson Rd, Humble, TX 77396. The ideal driver is self‑motivated, eager to excel, and ready to grow with our expanding company.

• Safely drive a Commercial CDL truck into residential, construction, commercial, and other environments.
• Determine the best, convenient drop‑off location for dumpsters to avoid property damage.
• Use hydraulic hand controls to lift/load dumpster onto/off the truck.
• Secure the dumpster load, cover appropriately, and account for weight shift before departing.
• Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections.
• Interact courteously with customers.
• Execute miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Trash is heavy. Whether using machines or performing manual hauling, the job is year‑round – rain, snow, shine, hot or cold. Expect heavy physical activity: walking, heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of items over 75 pounds, loading and unloading from a high‑set truck, moderate noise, and limited exposure to moving mechanical parts. Must perform mandatory safety precautions. Must work outdoors in wet or humid conditions and guard against fumes and vibration.

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a satisfactory driving record.
• Must possess Class A or B CDL.
• Must have ability to work any day of the week; must start at any time, including midnight.
