Driver, Delivery, Transportation

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including trucks, vans, and trailers as assigned.
• Deliver pumps, motors, parts, tools, and equipment to customers and job sites in a timely manner.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials safely.
• Verify delivery quantities and items against packing lists, work orders, invoices, or delivery tickets.
• Obtain customer signatures and properly document deliveries and pickups.
• Pick up equipment, pumps, parts, and materials from customers, vendors, and job sites.
• Assist warehouse and shop personnel with loading and unloading as needed.
• Use appropriate lifting equipment and material-handling practices.
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
• Follow all company safety policies, DOT requirements applicable to the vehicle being operated, and traffic laws.
• Communicate professionally with customers and company personnel regarding deliveries, delays, or special instructions.
• Assist with general warehouse/shop duties when not making deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Protect company property and customer equipment while in transit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record.
• CDL is not required
  , but a CDL Class A or B is a plus.
• Previous delivery, warehouse, construction, industrial, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
• Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, or other material-handling equipment is preferred.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle and equipment safety.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime or extended hours when business needs require.
