This is a physical, fast-paced position that involves continual lifting, lowering, and sliding packages. Warehouse associates support the daily warehouse operations. Our warehouse associates must have the ability to process shipping and receiving functions, unload trucks, and pull/pack orders. Our associates must have the ability to communicate with staff, management, and customers. Associates must be able to work well under pressure in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Essential

Functions
  • Load and unload delivery trucks – requires physical moving/lifting of product that can weigh up to 50+ lbs using a team lift. Moving and lifting can be repetitive.
  • Designate and organize the warehouse stock by product line and by warehouse alignment that allows sufficient space for inventory.
  • Ensures shipments are made according to third-party processes/software.
  • Prioritize and select inventory to fill orders and stage products for unloading/loading.
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
  • Assists in the inventory validation of incoming shipments from vendors with accuracy, as well as assists in periodic inventory counts.
  • Participate and play a part of the team role and perform facility responsibilities to include custodial/housekeeping tasks and cleaning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Technical knowledge of all inventory items within 6 months.
  • Understand the branding of all products within 2 weeks.
  • Be on time for the scheduled workday and complete all work hours required.
  • Maintain good working relationships with coworkers.
  • Establish and maintain order fulfillment accuracy, accurate with attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude on display at all times.
  • Able to prioritize and handle several projects at once.
  • Persistent and diligent attention to safety and detail.
  • Proficient with basic computer programs like Excel and Word.
  • Must possess the ability to learn job responsibilities and the various types of inventory.
  • Must be able to develop and learn technical knowledge of products and the customer base.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Operate manual material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks).
  • Operate powered lift trucks (LP fork-lift and electric lift truck).
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs (packages, pallets, snow removal, tools, equipment).
  • Long periods of standing.
  • Work on jobs that require repetitive work and motion (packaging kits).
  • Discern minor differences (quality inspection of product).
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Accept occasional overtime.

Travel

Possess a valid driver’s license and current DOT medical card. Will require deliveries to customer sites.

Required

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED

2. Experience preferred
