Description:

The Day School Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students with behavioral needs in a structured, therapeutic school setting. This teacher will design and deliver lessons aligned with individual education plans (IEPs) while incorporating strategies that address social, emotional, and behavioral growth. The role includes implementing behavior intervention plans, using restorative practices, and teaching replacement skills to help students succeed academically and socially.

Key responsibilities include:

* Creating a safe, supportive, and predictable classroom environment.

* Planning differentiated lessons that meet academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

* Collaborating with behavior specialists, counselors, and related service providers to support student progress.

* Implementing evidence-based strategies for behavior management and skill-building.

* Maintaining positive relationships with students, families, and team members to encourage engagement and growth.

* Collecting and analyzing data on student behavior and learning outcomes to inform instruction and interventions.

Qualifications:

Kansas teaching license and willing to complete requirements for special ed waiver and licensure.
